I have read that the RAV4 is like THE go-to hybrid SUV at the moment and the few years it has just been so dependable and has all the features the CRV does, but with better reliability and mpg. What scares me about the TOYOTA RAV4 HYBRID are people constantly discussing the noise in the cabin and this 'cablegate' issue. Why buy a hybrid if not for the improved mpg? I have read that people are not getting near the estimated MPG (i understand the estimated MPG is like under perfect freakin conditions), but a lot of comments stated they arent even getting 30mpg, which obviously worries me. I see people commenting on the Hybrid Honda CRV and how its new, but it doesn't mean necessarily mean better. I want to be able to buy this thing and it be a family car for a decade+. Nothing too insane, but something that is dependable and not being shoved down my throat cus its new and shiny and ooohh la la it has this feature. Enough room for a baby seat in the backseat, stroller in the cargo area, and still receiving quality mpg. My wife and I are looking for a Hybrid SUV that would be suitable for the family life.
